On August 5, 2009, the Alexandria Red Cross hosted a Youth Leadership Development Day. This retream was an opportunity for youth volunteers of the American Red Cross in grades 9 – 12 to learn more about the American Red Cross, develop leadership skills, and get to know each other.

 

 

On January 17, 2009 the Alexandria Red Cross hosted Rockin for the Red! This benefit concert was hosted by DC 101's Whitney, and featured Crash Boom Bang and My Favorite Highway. All proceeds benefited the mission of the Youth Leadership Program.
